The Problem
Complex Navigation Undermines an Innovative Interface

Agency59’s website features a visually distinctive layout that incorporates circular imagery derived from its logo, creating an interactive way to explore projects. However, while the concept is unique, the user experience is hindered by limited information architecture and unclear navigation. Users are required to click through multiple areas to locate key elements such as the hamburger menu and company details, resulting in a confusing and inefficient browsing experience.

Objectives
  • Make the user experience more seamless, the task flow simple and implement smoother navigation for users to submit job applications
Usability Test
  • They provided us with ways in which we could improve our website prototype, the visual signifiers as well as make the task flows easier and accessible for users. We took these insights and applied them to our final redesigned prototype.
  • Participants found the hamburger menu hard to find and navigate.
  • Difficult to find the careers button in order to find the careers page. They appreciated the user feedback after applying to the studio designer job.

The Solution
Improving Usability From User Testing Feedback

Based on user testing insights, the redesign retained Agency59’s signature circular visual system while improving overall usability. Client profiles were restructured into a carousel wheel, allowing users to navigate between projects using clear directional arrows. Project tagging was introduced to support faster, more specific navigation. Additionally, a dedicated hamburger menu with expanded, clearly defined headings was implemented to improve information hierarchy and make key content easier to locate.
